Double Glazing — Custom Double Glazing

The Insulating glass o double glazing is a set consisting of two panes of glass separated by a dehydrated air or argon gas chamber, hermetically sealed. This configuration provides a much higher thermal and acoustic insulation to monolithic glass, being today the standard solution required by the Building Technical Code (CTE) in new construction and rehabilitation.

How does it work?

The intermediate chamber acts as an insulating barrier: the air or gas trapped between the two panes drastically reduces heat transmission by convection and conduction. The result is a window that keeps the interior temperature stable, eliminates the "cold wall" effect and reduces condensation on the inside of the glass.

CLIMALIT PLUS® range from Saint-Gobain Glass

We work with the range CLIMALIT PLUS®, the reference double glazing in Spain manufactured by the network of authorized transformers of Saint-Gobain Glass. All CLIMALIT PLUS® glass includes 10-year warranty against manufacturing defects, internal condensation or dust deposits in the chamber.

Reinforced Thermal Insulation (ATR)

PLANITHERM® XN is a low-emissivity glass (magnetronic layer) with the highest light transmission on the market (82%). Offers up to 3 times more thermal insulation than a standard double glazing, maintaining a very neutral and transparent aesthetic.

PLANITHERM® 4S is the most advanced low-E glass (ε = 0.01), with the best Ug value in double glazing: 1,0 W/m²K. Its solar factor of 0.42 blocks more than half of the solar heat, ideal for orientations with direct sunlight.

Solar Control

The glasses COOL-LITE® combine solar control and thermal insulation in a single product. They limit the entry of heat by solar radiation without sacrificing natural light, reducing air conditioning consumption.

Sustainability: CLIMALIT ORAÉ®

The range CLIMALIT ORAÉ® incorporates base glass with a 42% less carbon footprint and approximately a 64% of recycled glass. Same technical specifications (Ug ≤ 1.0 W/m²K), manufactured in Spain with renewable energy. The most sustainable option on the market.

• Argon gas: Improves the U-value by 15% compared to the dry air chamber.
• Warm-edge spacer profile: Reduces the perimeter thermal bridge and condensation on the edge.
• Interior laminated glass (STADIP®): Safety in case of breakage + fragment retention.
• STADIP® SILENCE: Acoustic PVB for maximum sound insulation (up to 42 dB).
• Tempered glass: 5 times more resistant to impacts and thermal shock.

Regulations and CE Marking

All our insulating glass units comply with the standard UNE-EN 1279 (insulating glass) and carry CE marking. The calculation of the U-value is performed according to UNE-EN 673, con tolerancia de ±0,1 W/m²K. Las composiciones con vidrios de baja emisividad cumplen las exigencias del CTE DB-HE for all climatic zones of Spain.
