The type of opening determines how the window opens and affects ventilation, tightness, the space required and ease of cleaning. Each type has its advantages and is more suitable for certain situations.

Practicable (Abatible)

The leaf rotates on a lateral vertical axis, like a door. It is the most traditional type of opening and with the best tightness.

Tilt and turn

It combines two positions: hinged (lateral opening like a door) and tilt (it tilts at the top, leaving an opening of ~10 cm). The most versatile and popular in Europe.

Slider

The leaves slide horizontally on rails. They do not require sweeping space.

Corredera Elevadora

For large windows. The leaf rises slightly when the handle is turned, unlocking the sliding system. Allows leaves up to 400 kg with smooth operation.

Panoramic Slider

Ultra-narrow profiles that maximize the glass surface. The leaves can be stacked on one side, opening up to 75% of the space.

Foldable

The leaves fold in accordion, allowing to open 100% of the space. Ideal for connecting interior spaces with terraces or gardens.

Projecting

The leaf opens outwards rotating on an upper horizontal axis. The glass acts as a visor, protecting from the rain even with the window open.

Pivoting

The leaf rotates on a central axis (horizontal or vertical). Allows the leaf to be fully rotated to facilitate cleaning from the inside. Common in roof skylights.

Fixed

Fixed glass without opening. Maximum tightness and luminosity at the lowest cost. It is combined with operable windows for ventilation.
